KNCCI President, Dr. Erick Rutto presented to the World Chamber Federation Executive Committee and General Council Members led by WCF Chair Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, ICC Chair Phillipe Varin and John W.H.Denton AO, ICC Secretary General. KNCCI President shared the strategic vision of the WCF Africa Summit in Nairobi,Kenya, that will be held on April 9th-11th, 2025.

He highlighted the untapped potential in Africa with 60% of arable land and 30% of the world’s mineral reserves. He emphasized that AfCFTA connects 1.3 billion people across 54 countries with a combined GDP of over $3.4 trillion with a potential to boost intra-Africa trade from the current 16% to 65% and is projected to increase Africa’s export by around $560billion primarily in manufacturing.

The Summit will be held in Nairobi, Kenya, the hub from East and Central Africa, a beacon of stability, growth, and opportunity. Kenya is leading in digital innovation and economy with $1.2 billion moved daily through mobile money transfer known as MPesa. The summit themed “Africa’s Global Future:Integrated, Innovative, and Sustainable” will convene 4,500 delegates, 350 exhibitors from 70+ countries. As well as play the host to an audience of heads of state,chamber leaders ,trade and policy experts ,innovators, and entrepreneurs.

As KNCCI President concluded, he invited the WCF General Council Members to see the event as an opportunity to contribute to the future of Africa and the global economy. Also present in the summit is KNCCI National Director Ken Onditi,MBS, and Secretariat Virginia Waruingi.
