The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), in collaboration with Elite 360, hosted a breakfast meeting to unpack Zheng He Trade Mission, scheduled to take place from November 23rd to 30th, 2024, in Shenzhen and Beijing.

Director Cynthia Nyawira, representing Chamber President Dr. Erick Rutto, emphasized the mission’s potential for Kenyan businesses. She highlighted opportunities for value addition to Kenyan products, enhancing global competitiveness and promoting regional growth through integration with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). The mission also aligns with the Kenya-EU Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA). Collaboration between Kenyan and Chinese businesses will diversify exports and enhance meeting international market standards addressing the trade imbalance between the two countries.

Mr.Sum of Elite 360 outlined the various opportunities available to KNCCI members during the mission and shared the expected positive outcomes. The initiative was well-received, with several members already registering to participate.
