The KNCCI leadership, led by the Chamber President, engaged in a fruitful and insightful meeting with the Vihiga County Chapter, ably represented by Chairman Billy Ellias Nyonje.

The key focus of the meeting was the upcoming Vihiga County Business Awards (VCBA) 2024, a collaborative initiative organized by the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) Vihiga Chapter, alongside the County Government of Vihiga’s Department of Commerce, Tourism, and Cooperatives.

The VCBA 2024 aims to shine a well-deserved spotlight on outstanding businesses, entrepreneurs, and enablers who are driving socio-economic progress within the county. It’s like the Oscars of Vihiga, except instead of golden statues, we celebrate with a lot more impact on local development.

During the meeting, the Chamber leadership acknowledged the Vihiga Chapter’s unwavering commitment to advancing the Chamber’s mandate. Of particular note was the leadership’s dedication to initiatives such as fostering export opportunities for SMEs, in collaboration with Trade Mark Africa, and sensitizing them on how to tap into the AfCFTA market, specifically targeting the Democratic Republic of Congo. Additionally, the Ecobank Outreach program aimed at exporters was recognized as a vital step in bolstering trade activities at the county level.
