KNCCI President, Dr. Erick Rutto made his keynote address at the 17th Agribusiness Trade Fair at the University of Eldoret.

He celebrated the University of Eldoret for an outstanding job in facilitating a robust platform for knowledge exchange and technology dissemination, with participation increasing from 9,655 farmers in 2022 to a projected 18,000 this year.

He announced the plan to establish another KNCCI branch in Dubai as part of expanding its international presence and opening more markets for Kenyan businesses.

This trade fair exemplifies the importance of merging academic insights with industry experience, Agribusiness is central to achieving Kenya’s food security goals and plays a critical role in reducing poverty and enhancing rural development.

KNCCI and the University of Eldoret signed a MoU, a landmark agreement that will see closer collaboration in capacity building, research, and agribusiness innovation. This partnership will benefit farmers, students, and the entire agribusiness ecosystem.
