After a successful breakfast meeting with the Governor, the Chamber President, Dr. Erick Rutto made a courtesy call to KNCCI office in Bungoma where he held a meeting with the Chamber leaders from the region.

The Chamber leaders led by Mr John Shimaka, National Director, appreciated Dr. Rutto for visiting their region and more particularly the Bungoma Chamber Chapter. The leaders noted that through the Chamber President’s leadership, the Chamber is very strong in the region and is working very closely with the County Government to promote business growth in the region.

Dr. Erick Rutto noted that there exist opportunities which the leaders can benefit from. He mentioned the opportunities in China-liaised with the China Office to support Vice Chairman Bungoma travelling to China for the Canton Fair and looking to import packaging and grading machines. He also mentioned the KCB Foundation program, training opportunities with the Koreans and a partnership with KALRO to train farmers in the Cassava value chain. He encouraged the members and leaders present to join the Chamber SACCO to grow a strong private sector-led SACCO and invited Mr. Mutai, the Secretary Chamber SACCO to make a presentation about the SACCO. He took members through the benefits of joining the SACCO and encouraged them to join so that they could benefit from the SACCO products.
