Camino Ruiz, in collaboration with Global Tilapia Husbandry Limited, oversees the complete tilapia production value chain, including fish feed, fingerling production, distribution, processing, value addition, and retail. Notably, Camino Ruiz is the only local processor offering ready-to-eat (RTE) tilapia and tilapia fillets.

During a visit by the KNCCI team, comprising Mr. Kitavi (Head of Membership Services), Mr. Kiplimo Kigen (Head of Research, Policy & Advocacy), and Ms. Sarah Njoroge, the team was welcomed by Mr. Joseph Mureithi, Founder and CEO of Camino Ruiz Agencies Limited.

Mr. Mureithi expressed gratitude to KNCCI for assisting the company in securing its first export customer in Dubai earlier this year. He further highlighted the company’s expansion plans, leveraging KNCCI networks to explore export opportunities in Africa, the Middle East, the Gulf region, Europe, and the USA.

Additionally, Mr. Mureithi commended KNCCI’s advocacy efforts, particularly its role in protecting the local fish market by addressing the challenges posed by cheaper fish imports from China.
