From May 20 to 25, 2024, the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce (KNCCI) in partnership with the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MITI) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) will host the Kenya delegates both from private and public sectors for a transformative five-day event in both Atlanta and Washington. The event will comprise a focused a high level business forum, exhibition, business-to-business networking sessions, thematic sessions and the diaspora expo with Chamber members, both designed to forge meaningful connections and foster collaboration between Kenya and the U.S. enterprises.
The Chamber President Dr Erick Rutto will be leading a delegation of 30 businesses to the US on the sidelines of the State visit where H E President William Ruto will hold bilateral discussions with the administration of President Joe Biden. Speaking on his behalf at the breakfast forum, the KNCCI Economic Director Mr Ronald Meru said “by leveraging the strengths and resources of both the government and the private sector, these partnership can catalyze innovation, facilitate investment and create opportunities for businesses in both countries. Further, “as Kenya’s e-commerce market continues to evolve and expand, the US Trade Mission will play a crucial role in connecting Kenyan businesses and unlocking new opportunities for international trade and ultimately we can build a brighter future for all stakeholders in the global economy.
The intensive business-to-business networking session and engagements will serve as a platform for Kenya delegates to engage directly with US businesses, exchange ideas, and explore potential partnerships opportunities. Through facilitated discussions and interactive sessions, participants will delved into key sectors such as cotton and apparel, leather, coffee, tea, finance, technology, healthcare, real estate, energy, while uncovering synergies and laying the groundwork for future collaborations and partnerships.
The engagements with US Chamber members specifically Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the National Black Chamber of Commerce will provide an exclusive opportunities for Kenyan delegates to interact with influential stakeholders within the US business community. The participants will have the chance to network with industry leaders, government officials, and representatives from various sectors, enhancing mutual understanding and building trust between Kenya and the U.S entities.
