A joint consultative review meeting on Expo2020 Dubai was held today in a bid to review and asses performance of key activities since the beginning of the Expo in October this year.

The meeting involved key stakeholders from both the public and private sectors where it was was agreed that the two parties to work together to support successful participation of Kenya at the ongoing event. The meeting majored on planning for Kenya week event that is scheduled for 14th to 18th February, 2022 under the Expo program.

The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) team, led by the Chamber President Mr. Richard Ngatia participated at the deliberation meeting. The meeting was also attended by chairs of Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA), Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) , Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) and the Principle Secretary Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development Amb. Johnson Weru.

In ensuring the Kenya Week becomes successful, KNCCI will take part in planning and coordination of the event and support in stakeholder mobilization and program harmonization. The Chamber will also play a key role in mobilizing youth, women, SMEs and international participants to the event, alongside developing value preposition for Kenyan products and building capacity and skills of the participating delegates to improve on their product development and exhibition.

The Expo2020 Dubai began in October this year and is expected to come to and end in March next year.
