In a significant step towards strengthening economic relations between Kenya and Saudi Arabia, the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KNCCI) and the Federation of Saudi Chambers have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the Kenya-Saudi Business Council.
This strategic initiative is set to unlock new trade opportunities, boost bilateral investments, and create a robust economic bridge between the two nations.
At the prestigious Saudi Embassy Gala, Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Investment, Trade & Industry, H.E. Hon. Lee Kinyanjui, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment for investors. KNCCI President Dr. Erick Rutto echoed this vision, extending an invitation to Saudi investors to explore Kenya’s dynamic and high-growth sectors.
Kenya’s exports to Saudi Arabia have experienced significant growth, increasing from $70.1 million in 2021 to $130 million in 2023. This expansion has been driven by high-value agricultural products such as tea, coffee, fresh produce, meat, and live animals.
