In his address during the Nyanza International Investment Conference, KNCCI President Dr. Erick Rutto reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to accelerating the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). He highlighted key agreements designed to expand market access for MSMEs both regionally and globally, with a target of driving exports worth over USD 3 million across Africa within the next year.

Dr. Rutto also outlined transformative initiatives such as the Jiinue Growth Program, which aims to build capacity and provide mentorship to over 225,000 youth. To date, 31,000 young entrepreneurs have been trained, with over Kshs 500 million disbursed in loans, empowering businesses and fostering economic resilience.

Sharing insights from the Chamber’s Q1 Barometer 2025, he noted a positive economic outlook, with over 65% of businesses projecting revenue growth in the coming months—a testament to the region’s vibrant business environment.

Additionally, he invited stakeholders to the highly anticipated World Chambers Federation Africa Summit, set for April 9-11, 2025, in Nairobi. The event will serve as a key platform for strengthening business networks and fostering economic collaboration across the continent.
