KNCCI engaged with business editors from key local and international media houses during a media engagement breakfast hosted at the GTC Kenya Office Tower in Nairobi as an effort to market the WCF Africa Summit 2025.

Moderated by KNCCI CEO – Ahmed Farah HSC, the media engagement was meant to provide insights about the Summit, extensively to the local and international editors and what is expected from the media towards the WCF Africa Summit that is scheduled for April 9-11 at the KICC in Nairobi.

“At the WCF Africa Summit, we are expecting over 4,500 investors, policymakers, leaders, investors, and innovators from across the globe. We welcome all of Africa and the world to be part of this Summit.” Dr. Erick Rutto – KNCCI President remarked during the kick-off of a media engagement breakfast.

In their remarks, KNCCI Directors Ronald Meru – DipM, MCIM, Chartered Marketer, Ken Onditi, MBS, Dr. James Mwaura, Irene Murimi, John Shimaka, and KNCCI’s Stephen Mbugua, jointly encouraged the media to portray Kenya, and Africa at large as an investment hub, by highlighting its opportunities, and inviting the global community to explore what Africa has to offer. The youth were equally encouraged to bring out the positive side of Kenya, despite the challenges the country faces.

Climate change and sustainability came up as a key point of discussion to be included in the Summit. In his response, Mr. Ronald Meru acknowledged climate change and sustainability as a key global conversation, and it will be exhaustively covered during the three-day Summit.

”In preparation and during the Summit, SMEs will be mapped according to sectors and business-to-business sessions with investors will be facilitated during the Summit, “Dr. James Mwaura – KNCCI Nairobi Chapter Chairman. In addition, Willy Kenei – KNCCI Uasin Gishu Chapter Chairman remarked that SMEs will be invited to showcase their products and services at the exhibitions.

On the conversation around the AfCFTA, KNCCI CEO Ahmed Farah, HSC assured that KNCCI will continue to advocate for a fair and equitable trade agreement that supports Africa.

Dr. Rutto extended an invitation to the media to join hands in making the WCF Africa Summit a success.
