KNCCI, led by CEO Ahmed Farah, HSC, joined a pivotal meeting chaired by the Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs Development Hon. Wycliffe Oparanya, EGH to review the progress of the Kenya Public-Private Sector MSME Dialogue initiative.

Key in the discussions included reviewing of the objectives and the draft action plan for the initiative aimed at enhancing the growth and sustainability of MSMEs in Kenya, the adoption of the name of the initiative, and the government’s commitment to support the initiative and the private sector commitment to collaborate in order to enhance the growth and sustainability of MSMEs

In his remarks, CS Oparanya emphasized strengthening public-private collaboration to avoid duplication and maximize impact. Ahmed Farah reaffirmed KNCCI’s dedication to addressing MSME challenges through a united approach.

The team will reconvene on 3rd December 2024 to finalize the action plan, develop a comperehensive budget, and identify key partners in the implementation of the initiative

The dialogue remains a critical platform for fostering partnerships between the public and private sectors to unlock the full potential of Kenya’s MSME sector.
