Launched in 2023, iSOKO is a transformative online marketplace hosted by the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) in collaboration with TradeMark Africa, with funding from Global Affairs Canada. The platform enables users to seamlessly buy and sell goods digitally, fostering trade across borders.

A workshop being facilitated by A-Catalyst Consulting is currently underway at the Jacaranda Hotel to strategize on enhancing the platform’s financial sustainability and operational efficiency, with a key focus on improving iSoko”s commercial viability.

KNCCI CEO Ahmed Farah, HSC, proudly noted that Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) connected through iSOKO are now gaining visibility and access to markets in Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, and Burundi. He emphasized the potential of iSOKO to grow beyond Africa, facilitating global business opportunities.

Farah urged stakeholders to view iSOKO not as a mere funded project but as a commercially viable global digital marketplace.

Kenneth Oyolla, the Chief Commercial Officer of the Nation Media Group also emphasized the importance of developing a robust strategy to ensure the sustainability and long-term success of the e-commerce platform, iSOKO.
