The “Doing Business in Kenya” seminar, held today at the Mercure Nairobi Upper Hill Hotel, marked a pivotal step in strengthening Kenya’s trade and economic relations with Mayotte. Representing KNCCI, Director Lucy Muchoki delivered a speech on behalf of Chamber President Dr. Erick Rutto, emphasizing Kenya’s commitment to fostering bilateral business collaborations.
Key discussions focused on opportunities in tourism, agribusiness and technology. The Mayotte business delegation showcased its interests during pitching sessions, creating an avenue for future collaborations between Kenyan enterprises and French companies. Overall, the seminar reinforced Kenya’s position as a hub for innovation and investment in Africa, while Mayotte was spotlighted as a strategic gateway to European markets.
Also present were Richard Ndungu – Chairman KNCCI Kiambu Chapter, Perpetua Wairima Wanjiru – Chairperson KNCCI Nyandarua Chapter and KNCCI Women In Business member Edith Lewela – Chairperson for Women in Mining in Taita Taveta who also showcased their jewelry products and Eva Murua – KNCCI Director Nyandarua.
