French Week 2024, organized by the French Chamber of Commerce, led by its Chairman, Othamane Chaoui, served as a networking event for Kenyan and French entrepreneurs focused on fostering business opportunities in Kenya.

In his remarks, Principal Secretary State Department for Trade, Alfred K’Ombudo, addressed the challenges SMEs face in accessing global markets, while recognizing KNCCI’s role in supporting SME growth.

KNCCI CEO Ahmed Farah, HSC emphasized on the need for SME financing, mentioning KNCCI’s partnership with the state department to work closely to design and implement tailor-made programmes that will support MSMEs to benefit from the opportunities provided for in the EU-Kenya Economic Partnership Agreement.

Farah also identified tourism as a key economic driver, which could enhance Kenya’s global trade presence.
