Maasai Mara University, a leading institution focused on innovation and societal transformation, has forged a strategic partnership with the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI). This collaboration aims to bridge the gap between academia and business, leveraging the university’s expertise in tourism, environmental resource management, and conservation.

KNCCI leaders; Chamber Secretary Kihara Njuguna, National Directors David Mpatiany , Kennedy Onditi,MBS,Dr. George Karanja ,Mutavi Kithu, and Stanley Baskwony visited the university to explore potential areas of cooperation. In discussions with the university’s Vice Chancellor, Prof Peninah Obudho, and members of the Senate, they identified key areas for joint initiatives:

▪Training and Capacity Building

Attachment and Internship Programs

▪Business Incubation and Mentorship

▪Environment and Climate Change Research and Advocacy

▪Joint Consultancy Services

Joint Corporate Social Responsibility

To formalize this partnership, a technical committee comprising representatives from both institutions will be formed to develop a memorandum of understanding (MOU).

This collaboration is expected to enhance innovation, improve competitiveness, promote sustainable development, and strengthen community ties.
