KNCCI, led by National Director Hussein Jama and Mining Sector Chair Charles Komen, attended the installation of Professor Emeritus Ratemo Michieka as the first Chancellor of Tharaka University. The event, which also saw the attendance of CS Education Hon Julius Migos Ogamba and PS Mining Elijah Mwangi, highlighted the importance of this milestone for both the academic and mining communities in Kenya.

KNCCI is a key private sector partner of Tharaka University, supporting initiatives in mining and dry lands agricultural technologies in arid and semi-arid areas. Ongoing discussions aim to formalize a working agreement between KNCCI and Tharaka University to drive impactful projects in these sectors. Also in attendance were the Chairman Tharaka KNCCI Faustin Kagondu Chairman Meru County Mr. Joshua Mungania and Vice Chair Mercy Mbuba as well as the directors from KNCCI Tharaka County.
