Dr. Erick Rutto, President of KNCCI, attended a dinner hosted by European Union Ambassador to Kenya Ms. Henriette Geiger, in honor of Ms. Dora Correia, Director at the European Union Directorate-General for Trade.

The focus was on strengthening trade ties between Kenya and the European Union, particularly in expanding market access for Kenyan products in Europe.

Dr. Rutto emphasized the need to align Kenya’s export strategies with Europe’s evolving market demands, especially in sustainable and high-value sectors.

The discussions also explored potential collaborations in capacity building for SMEs and trade-related technical assistance, aimed at boosting the global competitiveness of Kenyan businesses.

Notable guests included CS Ministry of Trade, Investments, and Industry – Hon. Salim Mvurya, PS Trade – Alfred K’Ombundo, PS Industry – Dr Juma Mukhwana, PhD, CBS, and representatives from various development organizations.
