The AGM, led by Chamber President Dr. Eric Rutto, was graced by the Principal Secretary MSMEs Hon. Susan Mang’eni.

She acknowledged the role of KNCCI in advocating for the abolishment of business bottlenecks, and being a lead in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) discussions, and ensuring Kenyan businesses have a competitive advantage at the intra-African trade.

Collaborations were called upon, in mainstreaming technology transfer, a foundation for a competitive knowledge-based economy.

Businesses were encouraged to take advantage of key government initiatives meant to enhance economic development.

In his address, Dr. Rutto celebrated the Chamber’s milestones, including:  Winning the bid to host the World Chamber Federation in 2025; Establishing the first international office in Hunan Province, China, facilitating over Ksh300M worth of exports; Impacting over 20,000 micro and small businesses through the Jiinue Growth Program with training and affordable loans; Advocating for a favorable business environment in Kenya; Enhancing County engagement through the County Empowerment Programme and international training opportunities; Automating processes through digital platforms like GlueUp, ensuring real-time member services.

Dr. Rutto reaffirmed the commitment to the Chamber’s 13-point agenda and encouraged County Chapters to embrace digital transformation.

The AGM concluded with a resounding commitment from all leaders to continue elevating the Chamber’s impact.
