The conference, held at the JW Marriott Hotel, was a significant event aimed at strengthening economic ties between China and Kenya with participation of businesses, including 56 KNCCI members, from various sectors.

Highlights:
- Key sectors identified for investment in Kenya included agriculture, ICT and innovation, infrastructure, and manufacturing.
- The Shenzhen business community was encouraged to explore the extensive investment opportunities in Kenya, emphasizing the country’s strategic location as a gateway to East Africa.
- Shenzhen, a highly advanced city and the first in China to implement a comprehensive transportation system, was showcased for its innovative infrastructure.
- China’s top imports from Kenya include titanium ore, manganese ore, fish, niobium, tantalum, vanadium, and zirconium ore.
- Kenya’s major imports from China consist of telephones, woven fabric, rubber footwear, hot-rolled iron, and polyacetals.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Shenzhen Longhua District and KNCCI, outlining a commitment to cooperate in promoting economic and trade industries.
Additionally, Avic International Real Estate Kenya Ltd expressed its intent to join KNCCI as a Patron Member through the Managing Director, Frank Wang
Also present were KNCCI Nairobi Chapter’s Director Alice Mungai and KNCCI Nyandarua Chapter’s Director Eva Edmund.
