In our ongoing efforts to engage more with our members, understand their business needs, and enhance our service delivery, the Membership and Advocacy team visited Shalimar Fresh Limited (formerly East African Growers Ltd) this morning. Their core business lies in the floriculture and horticulture sectors, including the growing, processing, and exporting of flowers, vegetables, and fruits.

Their variety of fruits includes: Avocado – Fuerte, Hass, Pinkerton and Jumbo, Mango – Apple, Ngowe(Long), Tommy Atkins, Kent and Sabine, Passion fruit – Purple, Berries – Raspberry, Blueberry and Blackberry.

Their vegetables include : Beans – Bobby, Fine, Extra Fine, Mangetout peas (Snow peas),Sugar Snaps, Garden Peas, Tender stem Broccoli, Baby Vegetables – corn, courgette, leeks, Chillies, Assorted fresh herbs, and Asian vegetables.

Their flowers include : Roses – white, orange, red, yellow, pink, cerise, purple, bi-pink, bi-yellow and bi-orange, Summer flowers – Chrysanthemum, Solidago, Lepidium, Alstroemeria, Gerbera and Hypericum, Fillers – Gypsophila and Silver Dollar
