A significant meeting took place between the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), led by its President, Dr. Erick Rutto, and the Council of Economic Advisors to the President, chaired by David Ndii.
The primary focus was on KNCCI’s satellite offices, highlighting the success of the China office, which facilitated Ksh300 million worth of Kenyan exports in just 10 months.
Discussions also centered on completing the setup of a new office in Dubai, with future plans to expand into other major markets. The Council pledged support for these initiatives.
Additionally, KNCCI announced that Kenya has won the bid to host the next World Chamber Federation Africa Summit in June 2025, expecting 4,500 delegates from over 70 countries. The Council appreciated the platform it will provide Kenya in terms of foreign direct investment and tourism.
The Council and KNCCI also discussed the potential of KNCCI’s infrastructure to enhance key value chains, acting as a catalyst for economic growth and market access for Kenyan businesses.
