KNCCI President, Dr. Erick Rutto and the KNCCI management team hosted FCPA Wycliffe Kibisu at KNCCI Headquarters at Telkom Plaza. The team had the privilege of learning from the tax expert about tax systems and policies.

The thematic areas covered were:

  • Comparison of Kenya’s tax systems with those of other trading partners, focusing on the effects of taxes on businesses.
  • Practical examples of how taxes impact local businesses.
  • The effect of taxation on MSMEs.

There is a need to establish a tax work stream to engage with the government on taxation systems that support a conducive business environment.
