KNCCI President Dr. Erick Rutto held a meeting with a 13-member Indian delegation representing various sectors, including real estate, finance, infrastructure, electrical appliances, leather products, and FMCG. The delegation, primarily from the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, sought distribution channels in Kenya and membership linkages in similar business areas.

Key discussions focused on enhancing the IT sector through knowledge transfer, integrating AI in mining, and exploring joint ventures to reduce competition and access the larger African market.

The importance of increasing Indian imports to Kenya was emphasized, with proposals to increase direct flights between Kenya and India and advocate for zero tariffs between the two countries.

The meeting reaffirmed the strong bilateral relationship between Kenya and India, with a commitment to further collaboration and mutual growth.

In attendance was KNCCI Nakuru Chapter Chairman – Said Ali, KNCCI Head of Membership Services, Kitavi James and KNCCI Head of Trade Development- Maurine Macharia.
