The Chamber Crisis Response Initiative marks KNCCI’s inaugural Community Social Responsibility program, designed to assist families impacted by recent floods. Donations included 200 packs of blankets, 750 packs of sanitary pads, 200kgs of crisps, and refreshments.

KNCCI Nairobi Region Director, Cynthia Nyawira, reassured residents of KNCCI and the Nairobi County Government’s dedication to helping them recover from the floods’ effects. She acknowledged the collaboration between KNCCI and the County Government of Nairobi, emphasizing the Jiinue Growth Programme’s importance for MSMEs, encouraging women to start businesses and join KNCCI.

Also speaking, KNCCI Director Kennedy Onditi, MBS, appreciated the County Government of Nairobi for the partnership with KNCCI which led to the success of the initiative, and urged MSMEs in Mukuru to join KNCCI.

KNCCI CEO, Mr. Patrick Nyangweso, appreciated the KNCCI Secretariat team responsible for coordinating the program, led by Steven Osedo, Head of MSMEs, and encouraged such partnerhsips with the Nairobi County Government to improve the lives of Nairobi citizens.

He also highlighted the benefits of the Jiinue Growth Programme, and encouraged participation in the ongoing training. He emphasized the importance of business continuity, open dialogue, and KNCCI’s commitment to empowering women in business.

Also in attendance were Raphael Waweru (KNCCI Nairobi Chapter Director, PWDs Mainstreaming and Advocacy), Alice Mungai (KNCCI Nairobi Chapter Director, Informal Traders Sector), and the KNCCI Nairobi Chapter Liaison Officer, Christine Mwende.
