Early this week, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Foshan Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC-Foshan) at Weston Hotel, Nairobi.

The discussions focused on the available opportunities for expanding trade between Kenya and Foshan, exploring untapped markets, and enhancing collaboration in sectors of mutual interest.

Key Areas of Collaboration; Advocacy and lobbying efforts, networking, exchange of market information, providing relevant economic and trade advice and membership integration.

The National Director, Cynthia Nyawira highlighted the business opportunities that holds strategic importance in strengthening the ties between Foshan and Kenya. The key sectors include manufacturing, textile and apparel, technology and innovation, agribusiness and, Agricultural mechanization.

Mr. William Zhuo, Chairman Kenya Chinese Chamber of Commerce was excited to facilitate the exchange and collaboration between Foshan and Kenya and encouraged both nations to explore the possibilities of collaboration, investment, and trade.

The leader of CCPIT Foshan, Mrs Guan Yongmei introduced Foshan economy as manufacturing as core industry in the city. She introduced the 18 companies that were present in construction, house appliances, real estate and, manufacturing steel industries. Also present was Shadrack Kiprono Director Economic Diplomacy Committee, Ag. CEO James Kitavi and members of KNCCI Secretariat.
