The Nyanza International Investment Conference team, led by their chairman, Mr. Japh Olende, convened a meeting with Chamber president Dr. Erick Rutto at the KNCCI office in Telkom Plaza to explore potential collaboration for the upcoming conference. Among those present were Eng. Ken Onditi, MBS, and National Director for the Nyanza Region; National Director Vishal Khagram; and Director Simon Kitheka.
The Nyanza Professionals Forum drives the investment conference, boasting a membership of over 2,000 professionals from different candres in the Nyanza Region in Kenya and abroad. These professionals bring extensive experience from both public and private sectors, dedicated to contributing to community development.
The conference, scheduled for June 28th and 29th, 2024, at the Ciala Resort in Kisumu City, is a joint effort with the six county governments of Nyanza, namely, Homa Bay, Kisii, Migori, Nyamira, and Siaya, as well as the national government, national government agencies such as the Kenya Investment Authority, and local and international private sector entities and associations aims at attracting potential investors to invest in Nyanza and be a platform for sharing knowledge and experiences among the various stakeholders while identifying investment opportunities and pertinent programmes for the development of the region.
The center of focus encompasses various sectors in the Blue Economy, Agribusiness, Health Care, Education, Infrastructure, Industrialization, Affordable Housing, and Creative Arts.
The team is keen to collaborate with the Chamber to engage its members in exhibiting, participating as delegates, providing sponsorship, and potentially joining as panelists at the conference.
