The Chamber Vice president Mr. Mustafa Ramadhan hosted , the Acting Chief Executive Officer/Registrar of the Warehouse Receipt System Council Ms. Lucy Komen  for a meeting.

Ms. Komen provided an insightful overview of the organization, highlighting its role in facilitating the financing of agricultural commodities through the issuance and trading of warehouse receipts. She emphasized the benefits of the WRS, including enhancing market efficiency, reducing post-harvest losses, and improving farmers’ access to credit.

Impressed by the potential impact of the WRS on Kenya’s agricultural sector, the Chamber Vice President and the members in attendance expressed keen interest in exploring collaboration opportunities between the WRSC and KNCCI.
